A Blessed Christ-mass & My Alma Mater

Its that time of the year again, and my thoughts go back to my school days, where for most of us, were the best days of our lives. You made great friendships that lasts the longest, you did not need to think too much about the future. You learn to grow as a person, the place where you hone your character. Great teachers do influence us greatly, I still think fondly of my two favourite teachers, Mrs. Foong and Mr. Timothy Chee - late 70s period. I am still struck by the tenacity, vision, dedication, devotion and leadership of Brother U Paul and Brother Vincent.

Merry Christmas everyone ... drive safely.

Hi Dali,
I am not sure whether most of us who read your blogs where is your alma mater. But I can confidently tell you that it is the St. Michael's Institution IPOH, situated just opposite the Ipoh Padang. I too have spent 2 years there but well before your time. Yes, there was Brother Paul who also taught me but not the other two teachers whom you mentioned. They were of a different vintage.
I can also make an educated guess that after you completed your Form Six you went to study in the land of Oz probably in Sydney and you might have completed a course in business/ accountancy/commerce and you returned to Malaysia and somehow landed yurself in a stocking firm as an analyst and the rest is history.
But whatever, quite a number of us including myself have benefitted from your "tips", although your strike rate was not as good as Tiger Woods. By the way I am still holding some of your recent and not so recent recommendations which were quite sound fundamentally but have not really taken off (e.g N2N, Evergreen fiberboard, MFCB, Coastal contracts, Ramunia) to name just a few. Perhaps, one day you will do us a favour by reviewing and revisting them again).
Anyway, I wish you a blessed Christmas and a New Year filled with peace and joy.
Oh yes, both brother Paul and your hero Salvatore Dali will be proud of you in your analysis of the stock market but I do NOT think that they will approve of your use of "colorful language"in many of your postings if they are present today
God bless,
Dunamis
